The Investigations unit, comprised of one Sergeant, three <br />Znvestigators, and one Juvenile Officer, investigates crime <br />with assistance of patrol personnel and outside agencies. <br />They collect and preserve evidence during the course of <br />investiqating, and maintain the proper chain of evidence. <br />2. The Records Unit, consisting of three and one-half Police <br />office clerks, processes all reports initiated by Roseville <br />officers. The Chief's secretary also assists this unit. <br />Information for every incident must be Borted, entered into <br />the computer, and filed. All criminal reports going to <br />outside agencies are typed (started in 1967). <br />The Crime Prevention Coordinator works to develop contacts <br />with citizens and business people in an effort to reduce <br />crime opportunities and effects on the community. This <br />person also works to etart up more Neighborhood Watch groups. <br />4. The School Liaison unit, comprised of the School Liaison <br />Officer and Drug Abuse Resietance Education (D.A.R.E.) Officer, <br />works with students to improve relations between students and <br />Police, to prevent crime, and to prevent drug abuse. <br />ESPENDITURE COMMENTS: <br />No major change for 1992. <br />49 <br />
