<br />Note 15 - Risk Management Fund
<br />In 1987, the City established, e Risk Manegement Fiad (an Internat Service Fund) to acco�t for self-insurance coverage.
<br />Under this program, the City is self-insured up to e maxim�m of f50,000 deductible on general liebility and property
<br />damage with e maximm of 5100,000 per emun. Ctaims in excess of these amounts are ro rt
<br />fulLy insured through the Leegue of Mimesote Cities Insurarue Trust. Fud reverwes ere primarity p pe Y
<br />tex levies, praniun rebetes and interest earnings, and are plamed to meteh expenses of insurance premiu�
<br />for coverepe in exeess of self-insured amounts, etaims resulting frdn the self-insurance program, end
<br />operatinp expmses.
<br />A provision is mede for eleims incurred but not reported. (1•B.N.R.> The provision is besed on the estimeted
<br />ultimete eost of cettlement, usin9 pest experience adjusted for current trends.
<br />Note 16 - Deferred Camensation Plan
<br />The City offers its ertQtoyees a deferred cmQensetion plan established in eccordance uith internal Revenue
<br />Code Seetion 457. The plen, evailable to all employees, permits them to defer e portion of their satary
<br />�ntit future yeers. The deferred cmpensation is not evaiteble to employees untit terminetion, retire+nent
<br />deeth or unforeseeable emerpency.
