Roseville Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement <br /> Commission <br /> Agenda Item <br /> DATE: July 18, 2018 ITEM: 7d <br /> ITEM DESCRIPTION: Proclamation Update <br /> Background <br /> Commissioners who have completed their review and outreach on their assigned proclamations <br /> were asked to bring forward their draft proclamations at the July meeting. The following <br /> proclamations were to be reviewed during the July meeting: <br /> • Hispanic heritage month (Eichenlaub) <br /> • Disability awareness month -consultation (Hansel) <br /> • Women's history (Peterson) <br /> • Black history month (Djevi) <br /> • Fair housing (Bolinger) <br /> o A draft was sent to Carrie Marsh, Performance Analyst with Minnesota <br /> Employment and Economic Development for review. She suggested adding a few <br /> groups to mirror MHFA's fair housing policy. <br /> • LGBTQ(Bolinger) <br /> o A draft was sent for review to Pflag and Outfront MN 2 times with no response. <br /> Other individuals from this community reviewed the draft. <br /> • Race equality week- (Holub) <br /> • Native American month (Holub) <br /> Draft proclamations are included in the packet for review. <br /> Recommendation <br /> Review proclamations and determine next steps. <br /> Attachments: <br /> Hispanic Heritage Month (English & Spanish) LGBTQ+ <br /> Women's History Month Fair Housing Month <br /> Black History Month <br />
