Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commission Minutes <br /> June 20, 2018 —Draft Minutes <br /> Page 7 of 7 <br /> 271 g. Election of New Chair <br /> 272 Chair Holub restated she will be stepping down as Chair as she moves to Seattle for <br /> 273 law school. She opened the floor for nominations for Chair. <br /> 274 <br /> 275 Commissioner Manke nominated Commissioner Beltmann for Chair. <br /> 276 <br /> 277 Commissioner Eichenlaub nominated Commissioner Djevi for Chair. <br /> 278 <br /> 279 After further consideration, Commissioner Djevi withdrew his acceptance of the <br /> 280 nomination. <br /> 281 <br /> 282 Commissioner Manke moved and Commissioner Subramanian seconded the motion <br /> 283 to nominate Commissioner Beltmann as Chair of the HRIEC. Motion passed <br /> 284 unanimously. <br /> 285 <br /> 286 Commissioner Djevi stated Commissioner Beltmann will do a wonderful job in the <br /> 287 role of Chair. <br /> 288 <br /> 289 The Commission discussed who will attend the July 91h Council meeting. <br /> 290 <br /> 291 Other New Business or Reports <br /> 292 a. City Engagement Efforts <br /> 293 Assistant City Manager Olson stated there is a record number of volunteers at <br /> 294 Rosefest and for the parade. She noted that over 400 runners are scheduled for the <br /> 295 race and also highlighted several of the community events that are part of Rosefest. <br /> 296 <br /> 297 Announcements <br /> 298 <br /> 299 Future Agenda Items <br /> 300 <br /> 301 a. IAP2 Training <br /> 302 b. 2020 Census <br /> 303 c.
