City of Roseville <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1561 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br /> TITLE 5, POLICE REGULATIONS <br /> AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TRAPPING OF ANIMALS IN THE CITY OF <br /> ROSEVILLE <br /> THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br /> SECTION 1: Title 5, Section 512 of the Roseville City Code is created to read as <br /> follows: <br /> 512.01 Purpose <br /> 512.02 Definitions <br /> 512.03 Trapping Prohibited <br /> 512.04 Exceptions <br /> 512.05 Compliance with Law <br /> 512.06 Penalty <br /> 512.01 PURPOSE. <br /> This ordinance is intended to protect the citizens from injury from hazardous <br /> devices and to protect domesticated animals, pets and non-nuisance wildlife from <br /> damage and destruction that may result from unregulated trapping and snaring. <br /> 512.02. DEFINTIONS <br /> The words and phrases used in this Chapter shall have the meanings ascribed to them as <br /> follows: <br /> (a) BODY-GRIPPING TRAP.A device that is designed and/or used with <br /> the intention to catch and kill an animal by means of rigid components that <br /> apply constant pressure to a part of the animal's body other than the foot or <br /> leg. <br /> (b) BODY-GRIPPING SNARE.A device that is designed and/or used <br /> with the intention to catch and secure or kill an animal by means of a wire <br /> or cable loop that closes and applies constant pressure to a part of the <br /> animal's body other than the foot or leg. <br /> (c) CABLE-RESTRAINT SNARE. A device that is designed and/or used <br />
