with the intention to catch and secure an animal by means of a wire or cable <br /> loop that, while the animal is pulling against it, closes and tightens around a <br /> part of the animal's body other than the foot or leg, but which relaxes while <br /> the animal is not pulling against it. <br /> (d) FOOT SNARE. A device that is designed and/or used with the intention <br /> to catch and secure an animal by means of a wire or cable loop that closes and <br /> tightens around the animal's foot or leg. <br /> (e) LEG-HOLD TRAP.A device, including but not limited to a <br /> foothold trap or foot snare, that is designed and/or used with the <br /> intention to catch and secure an animal by the foot or leg. <br /> (I) GLUE TRAP. A device that is designed and/or used with the <br /> intention to catch and secure an animal by means of an adhesive that <br /> holds part of the animal's body to a fixed surface. <br /> (g) CAGE TRAP.A trap that is designed and/or used with the intention to <br /> catch and confine an animal inside of a cage, box, or other enclosure without <br /> restricting the movement of any part of the animal within the cage, box,or <br /> other enclosure.. <br /> (h) TRAP.A device--including but not limited to a body-gripping trap, <br /> body-gripping snare, cable- restraint snare, foot snare, leg-hold trap,glue <br /> trap, or cage trap--that is designed and/or used with the intention of catching, <br /> capturing, snaring, holding, or killing animals. <br /> (i) TRAPPING. The placing or setting of a trap with the intention or <br /> predictable result ofcatching, capturing, snaring, holding, or killing an <br /> animal. <br /> 0) NUISANCE ANIMAL. A wild animal as defined under section 501.23 <br /> that poses a hazard or danger to persons or property. <br /> (k) SMALL NUISANCE ANIMAL. A mouse, vole, bat, rat, gopher,mole <br /> or other wild animal of approximately the same or smaller size that poses a <br /> hazard or danger to persons or property. <br /> 512.03 TRAPPING PROHIBITED <br /> Trapping is prohibited anywhere within the City, including in City parks and on any City- <br /> owned property, except as provided in section 512.04. <br /> 512.04 EXCEPTIONS <br /> Trapping is allowed in the City as follows: <br /> (a) Trapping by a person of small nuisance animals on private property <br /> using a trap designed for a small nuisance animal in a way that does not <br />
