Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: August 28, 2018 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 4 <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• 2018 Pavement Management Project <br />o Council awarded this year's project to T.A. Schifsky and Sons. Work consists of <br />replacing 1 mile of water main and 6 miles of pavement resurfacing. The work is <br />approximately 75% completed. <br />o Work in the Lake McCarron area should finish around the first week of <br />September. <br />o Railroad crossing replacements on County Road C2 will take place during the <br />week of September 10 and on Long Lake Road during the week of September 17. <br />The railroad crossings will be closed during that time and detours will be posted. <br />• Water Booster Station Phase 1 <br />o Work on the booster station upgrade is completed. The underground piping has <br />been replaced and the new slab for the generator has been placed. <br />• Water Booster Station Phase 2 <br />The contract for this project was awarded on July 23. <br />Work will begin this fall and continue through summer of 2019. <br />Work includes HVAC upgrades, electrical upgrades including creation of an <br />electrical room, security upgrades, replacement of two pumps and replacement of <br />some underground piping and valves. <br />• 2018 Sewer CIPP <br />o This year's project involves lining 6.0 miles of sanitary sewer pipe and two small <br />segments of storm sewer. This project is approximately 50% complete with the <br />project scheduled to be completed by the end of September. <br />• Lounge Lift Station <br />o This sanitary sewer lift station was rehabbed with new pumps, controls and a new <br />force main. All work is completed other than new gas and electric service from <br />Xcel Energy. <br />• Fernwood Lift Station <br />o The City's consultant is currently designing plans and specifications for the <br />sanitary sewer lift station rehabilitation. Work on the lift station will likely begin <br />in Spring of 2019. <br />• ADA Inventory <br />o Engineering staff is currently measuring and inventorying all City owned curb <br />ramps (419) to make sure they are in ADA compliance to include in our ADA <br />Transition Plan. <br />Metropolitan Council Environmental Services updates: <br />0 Avon street <br />
