Items <br />• In July, staff referenced a Star Tribune Article on the current state of recycling. <br />Attachment D is the entire article discussing the recycling market. <br />Major Maintenance Activities: <br />• Crews graded and prepared the site including prepping trails and sidewalks at the new <br />Cleveland Park at Cleveland Avenue and County Road B. Staff coordinated with vendors <br />to complete the concrete work and bituminous pathway work. <br />• Crews graded and prepared the site at the new Marion Park. Staff coordinated with <br />vendors to complete bituminous pathway work. <br />• Milled and Patched 5 of 12 stripped/delaminated neighborhoods. <br />• Maintenance staff and equipment for Funeral Procession traffic closure for slain <br />Department of Corrections Officer. Largest closure PW has been involved in. <br />• 80% of Crack sealing program completed. <br />• Replaced numerous curb and sidewalks. <br />• Made sidewalk improvements on Hamline Avenue. <br />• Completed pathway adjacent to turn lanes on Hamline near Josephine and Lydia. <br />• Performed numerous other streetscape maintenance. <br />• Performing 3`d citywide street sweeping. <br />• New tree trimming boom truck put into service including staff training. <br />• Ongoing monthly compost turning. <br />• Assisted on two watermain breaks. <br />• Repaired numerous storm sewer repairs. <br />• Inspected inlets and outlets after July rainfalls. <br />• Ongoing patching in neighborhoods. <br />• Completed 51' cycle of City right of way mowing. <br />• Delivered compost and woodchips. <br />• Ongoing street sign work. <br />• Continue cleaning sanitary sewer mains. <br />• Completed flushing private hydrants. <br />• Painted hydrants. <br />• Valve exercising. Turning large valves 12"-20" water main.
