After interviewing professionals in solid waste & recycling, the group created a set of criteria to <br />determine the feasibility of each site which included accessibility, security, parking/traffic, site <br />characteristics, and walkability. The full report is included for your review and comment. <br />Recommended Action: <br />Staff recommends the Commission receive the updated information on Organics Drop Off Site <br />Proposed Locations, and provide further direction to staff. <br />Staff also recommends the Commission make a formal recommendation to the City Council. If <br />the Commission feels that a drop off site is worth pursuing in the City of Roseville, the following <br />recommendation may be in order: <br />The Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission recommends an Organics Drop <br />Off Site be located at a City facility in 2019. The Commission recommends staff work with <br />Ramsey County to modify the Leaf Recycling Center to accommodate a drop off site. <br />If the Commission feels that a drop off site should NOT be located on a City site, then the <br />following recommendation may be in order: <br />The Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission recommends that an Organics <br />Drop Off Site should not be located on a City owned site and that if Ramsey County strongly <br />desires a site within the City of Roseville the County should explore County owned sites such as <br />the Roseville Library or Josephine Park. <br />Attachments: <br />A.
