She noted <br /> 493 at the October meeting the Commission will discuss the Rubric for the scoring of the <br /> 494 Essay Contest. November the Commission finalizes the sheet and January staff will <br /> 495 collect the essays for review and scoring at the February Commission meeting. <br /> 496 March the second round of essays will be distributed for narrowing down of 10-15 <br /> 497 essays. From those essays the Commission selects the top winners and the winners <br /> 498 are then invited to read their essays at a City Council meeting and be recognized for <br /> 499 that work. <br /> 500 <br /> 501 Other New Business or Reports <br /> 502 a. City Engagement Efforts <br /> 503 Assistant City Manager Olson reported on the following: <br /> 504 • City Engagement Efforts —there is a push for voter registration <br /> 505 • Hands Only CPR Class <br /> 506 • Firefighters Fill the Boot Fundraising <br /> 507 • Solar Power Hour Information Session scheduled Tuesday October 2nd at the <br /> 508 Ramsey County Library <br /> 509 • Construction of a bicycle pump track—need volunteers <br /> 510 • Final Community Review of the Comprehensive Plan,possibly October 241h <br /> 511 <br /> 512 Commissioner Peterson stated October 241h is the Candidate Forum at City Hall <br /> 513 Chambers 7:00 p.m. <br /> 514 <br /> 515 Vice Chair Beltmann stated with the changes of Commissioners there has been a lot <br /> 516 of headway in their workplan and what the Commission should be doing. She <br /> 517 thought the October meeting may be a good time to get everyone caught up in the <br /> 518 workplan. She suggested adding the following to the October agenda. <br /> 519 <br /> 520 Proposed Foundational Meeting at the October Meeting <br /> 521 o Work Plan Schedule <br /> 522 o Project around community engagement <br /> 523 o Mentoring/Onboarding of new Commissioners <br /> 524 <br /> 525 Commissioner Peterson thought there will be a lot on October's agenda, so she <br /> 526 proposed the Commission move the essay contest Rubric to November to finalize in <br /> 527 December. <br /> 528 <br /> 529 Vice Chair Beltmann proposed moving the November 21st meeting to November 14th. <br /> 530 <br /> 531 Commissioner Djevi moved and Commissioner Peterson seconded a motion to move <br /> 532 the November 21't Commission meeting to Wednesday, November 14th.
