7.Ongoing Topics <br />a.Cleveland Avenue and Marion Street Park Sites Update <br />On Monday, September 24, 2018, the City Council agreed and approved <br />your name suggestions of “Midland GardensPark”for the 2134 Cleveland <br />Avenue site and “Unity Park”for the 1716 Marion Streetsite.Park <br />identificationsigns will be ordered soon.Thank youvery much for all of <br />your work in creating a full community process and your due diligencewith <br />your recommendations. <br />On Saturday, September 15, we had a very successful planting day at <br />Midland Gardens Park (2134 Cleveland Avenue) and we are looking <br />forward to the Community Playground Build at Unity Park (1716 Marion <br />Street) on Saturday, October 13. <br />Thanksto everyone including Public Works, Parks and Recreation and <br />Administration Departments, Parks and Recreation Commission, City <br />Council and numerous community volunteers.Big thanks goes out to Jim <br />Taylor for managingthe park development details and to Rachael Boggs <br />for coordinating the volunteers. <br />Requested Commission Action:Update and discuss. <br />8.Staff Report -Other new or relevant communications provided as necessary. <br />9.Other <br />10.Adjournment <br /> <br />
