Roseville Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement <br />Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />DATE:November 14, 2018ITEM:7c <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION:Discussion on Pilot Proclamation <br />Background <br />The Commission has been working throughout 2018 to review existing proclamation language <br />as well as receive feedback/input from specific groups within Roseville that are impacted by <br />those proclamations. As that process comes closer to finalization, the next step is to bring <br />forward suggestions for a specific proclamation to be the Featured proclamation for 2019. <br />At the October HRIEC meeting, commissioners discussed two potential Featured <br />proclamations for 2019. Commissioners decided to do some initial work on pulling together <br />ideas, including partnerships, to highlight during these proclamation months. The two that <br />were discussed as potential pilots were: <br />Human Trafficking January <br />Hispanic Heritage Month - September <br />Attached is information pertaining to the Human Trafficking proclamation. <br />Recommendation <br />Discuss potential options for a featured proclamation for 2019.
