City of
IØSEVILI 413
Minnesota,USA
Regular City Council Meeting Minutes
City Hall Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive
Monday, October 15, 2018
1. Roll Call
Mayor Roe called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m. Voting and Seating
Order: Willmus, Laliberte, McGehee and Roe. City Manager Patrick Trudgeon and City
Attorney Mark Gaughan were also present.
Mayor Roe indicated Councilmember Etten had a prior commitment and would not be at
the meeting.
2. Pledge of Allegiance
3. Approve Agenda
Willmus moved, McGehee seconded, approval of the agenda as presented.
Roll Call
Ayes: Willmus, Laliberte, McGehee and Roe.
Nays: None.
4. Public Comment
Mayor Roe called for public comment by members of the audience on any non-agenda
items. No one appeared to speak.
Councilmember Willmus asked for a point of personal privilege. He stated late last week
it was called to attention by a friend of his regarding a Facebook post that had been put
forward by Ms. Kathy Ramundt and part of that post was her assertation calling attention
to the fact that he has not supported people of color to appointment for city advisory
Commissions. She specifically noted that he did not support the appointment of Etienne
Djevi and he stated that is factually false. He stated Mr. Djevi's appointment was made
unanimously by the Council. He did not recall the last time the Council has had a split
vote when it came to Commission appointments. He stated that was something he want-
ed to note and make known. It is something that is important and when he is looking to
various commission appointments, he seeks to gather and have representation of voices
that might be different than the majority. He thought that was something he has strived
for. He stated when people go out of their way to make false claims, he felt it was neces-
sary to correct them.
5. Recognitions, Donations, and Communications
6. Items Removed from Consent Agenda
7. Business Items
