Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday, October 22, 2018 <br /> Page 19 <br /> Etten moved, Willmus seconded, approving minimum parking standards with the <br /> following change to Table 1019-1 "1 space for each employee at the greatest shift <br /> and one space for every three seats in a taproom/tasting room. If an outdoor patio <br /> is included, an additional 1 space for every 3 outdoor patio seats shall be required <br /> as well." <br /> Councilmember Etten stated by changing the word from 'two' to `three,' it <br /> matches the City restaurant code. <br /> Mayor Roe asked if the maker of the motion would accept a friendly amendment <br /> to say in the first column under use "Restaurants/Sit-down, microbreweries, tap- <br /> rooms, and tasting rooms. <br /> Councilmembers Etten and Willmus accepted the friendly amendment. <br /> Council Discussion <br /> Councilmember Etten thought this addressed concerns around the parking. He <br /> stated this matched other parts of the City Code in many ways and yet addresses <br /> some of the areas where the code has been a struggle. <br /> Councilmember Willmus agreed, noting one of the things the Planning Commis- <br /> sion was struggling with was how people get to these various establishments. <br /> There are still a lot of people who show up alone and there are multiple vehicles. <br /> He thought in terms of looking at and protecting the neighborhoods around where <br /> some of these establishments might go, making sure there is adequate parking is <br /> something that is important to him. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: McGehee, Willmus, Laliberte, Etten and Roe <br /> Nays: None. <br /> Mayor Roe asked if anyone wanted to tackle Table 1005-5, Section 4, the CMU2 <br /> as it relates to distilleries, taprooms and tasting rooms. <br /> Willmus moved, McGehee seconded, approving changes to Table 1005-5, Section <br /> 4, with regard to Industrial uses under Distillery and CMU-2, he would change <br /> that from NP (Not Permitted) to C (Conditional) and under Accessory Uses, <br /> Buildings, and Structures; Taproom, Tasting Room and CMU-2 he would change <br /> that from NP (Not Permitted)to C (Conditional). <br /> Council Discussion <br />
