The financial overview of need from the report includes the following: <br />The original 1968 bathrooms noted in the financials are located inside the arena. However, <br />they areutilized and necessary during major OVAL events. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed the cost estimates provided by Stantec in the Condition <br />Assessment Report. <br /> <br />Chair O’Brien inquired when the Commission would become more active in the bonding <br />process. Staff relayed that most likely, a committee will be created and it would be very <br />beneficial to have members of the Commission participate. <br /> <br />Vice-Chair Baggenstoss wondered if there is a way to expand timing to create a longer ice <br />season at the facility. <br /> <br />5) 2019 DRAFT MEETING CALENDAR <br />The Commission discussed the alternate Thursday dates proposed for 2019. The Commission <br />agreed to bring the draft calendar back at the December 2018 meeting to allow members who <br />were unable to attend tonight’s meeting to weigh in. <br />6) ONGOING TOPICS <br />a) Midland Gardens and Unity Park Update <br />Both parks are substantially complete as of today. <br /> <br />The October 13, 2018 playground build at Unity Parkhad over 75 volunteer’s helping to <br />build the playground, clean up the surrounding areaand plant new vegetation. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />
