Regular City Council Meeting
Monday,November 5, 2018
Page 16
Mr. Lloyd stated in regard to the pollinator discussion, he thought the wording in
the Comprehensive Plan comes directly from the Pollinator Policy rather than re-
ferring to it.
Councilmember McGehee stated the only thing she had about the implementation
chapter is she felt this is more of a chapter that belongs to the City and the City
Council and really doesn't have any priorities. At some point, she felt the City
Council had to go through it and look at the money to see how much is coming
out of City funds and begin to add some of those items together. She felt this was
a valid document but saw it as more of a working document for the City rather
than as part of the Comprehensive Plan that goes to everybody else.
Mayor Roe thought everything he had was minor and technical. He noted in
chapter 4, Land Use, pages 4-5, there are numbers regarding acres of different
land uses and references more broadly in the paragraph descriptions. It seemed
like this was not one hundred percent clear once added together. He reviewed the
document and indicated he answered his own question.
Mayor Roe stated on page 9 of chapter 4, the chart on that page referencing popu-
lation, the number does not match the same chart at the end of chapter 3. These
need to be consistent.
Mayor Roe stated at the end of the Land Use Chapter on the broad, large format
pages regarding HarMar and Lexington/Larpenteur and Rosedale, he had a sug-
gestion to describe what these are and what the purpose is.
Ms. Purdue noted page 26 explains the large format pages but something could be
put directly on them as well.
Mayor Roe stated on page 5 of chapter 7, Transportation, the functional transpor-
tation map is unreadable.
Mayor Roe noted this item will go to the Planning Commission for review on No-
vember 7th and back to the City Council for forwarding onto the Met Council on
December 3rd
Councilmember Willmus indicated one of the things he was pleased to see from
other cities is the acknowledgement of the County Road D/Fairview intersection
and some of the improvements the City can strive for as well as trail connectivity.
He was pleased to see that feedback.
e.
