Regular City Council Meeting
Monday, November 26, 2018
Page 5
proportionally based on each community's usage or in this case the amount of
waste water treated.
c. Public Hearing to Consider Adopting a Resolution Providing Host Approval
of Tax-Exempt Funds for Presbyterian Homes
Finance Director Chris Miller briefly highlighted this item as detailed in the RCA
and related attachments dated November 26, 2018.
Mayor Roe noted there is no general public obligation for paying off the bond on
the part of the City of Roseville or the City of Little Canada.
Mayor Roe reviewed public hearing protocol and opened and closed the public
hearing at approximately 7:25 p.m. for the purpose of receiving public input on
the above-referenced Resolution; with no one appearing for or against.
McGehee moved, Etten seconded, adoption of Resolution No. 11554 (Attachment
A) entitled, "Resolution Giving Host Approval to the Issuance of a Health Care
Facilities Revenue Note (Langton Place Project), Series 2018."
Roll Call
Ayes: Laliberte, Willmus, Etten, McGehee, and Roe.
Nays: None.
Recess
Mayor Roe recessed the meeting at approximately 7:28 p.m., and reconvened at
approximately 7:30 p.m.
d. Receive Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commission Recommen-
dation on City Proclamations
Assistant City Manager Rebecca Olson briefly highlighted this item as detailed in
the RCA and related attachments dated November 26, 2018.
HRIEC Chair Cat Beltmann and Commissioner Lauren Peterson reviewed the
proclamations with the City Council.
Mayor Roe suggested starting discussion on the January proclamation and events
and then circle back to the other months. He thought it made sense to look at a
couple of the proclamations each year and as a City focus on a particular issue or
concerns. He stated trafficking is an area of concern that people of the communi-
ty have been talking about for some time. He thought it was great the City got the
grant funding and the Police Department is doing the focus on that with other
partners.
