Regular City Council Meeting
Monday,January 14, 2019
Page 12
Roll Call
Ayes: Etten, Laliberte, Groff and Roe.
Nays: None.
Groff moved, Etten seconded, enactment of Ordinance No. 1569 (Attachment E)
entitled "An Ordinance Amending Title 10 of the City Code, Changing Certain
Real Property Located at 1700 Hamline Avenue from Planned Unit Development
to Neighborhood Business (NB) District."
Roll Call
Ayes: Etten, Laliberte, Groff and Roe.
Nays: None.
Council Discussion
Councilmember Laliberte stated in regard to 9c, each of the Departments, as their
CIP projects come up, review the purchases to see if the item is at the end of life
or if another year or two could be taken out of the item. She stated it would be
nice to have some of that reflection in the staff report if the item is going to be on
the consent agenda.
Mr. Trudgeon stated more information can be put into the staff report. The Police
Department equipment is pretty much on a set schedule but everything else that
comes before the Council for replacement is generally because it needs to be re-
placed. He was not sure how staff can universally address that, but more notation
could be put in the information indicating it has been reviewed and the needs are
still there or different from before.
Councilmember Etten asked if that is provided in early fall when the Council
looks at the CIP for the next year because he thought a narrative was done at that
time.
Mr. Trudgeon stated if staff moves something up, there will be a notation of that
in the report. He thought having some notation on the item can be put in the re-
port.
Mayor Roe stated there is also a full 2019 list of items that is in the consent agen-
da every time and can be tracked. He thought the cutting and pasting of the in-
formation previously provided as mentioned by Councilmember Etten might be
helpful for reference.
Councilmember Etten stated in regard to Item 9d, he had some email correspond-
ence with Mr. Mark Culver. His point was over the work that happened on the
north side of McCarrons Lake this past summer with the contractor frequently not
marking changes where it went from black top to gravel or marking it as a con-
