Regular City Council Meeting
Monday,January 14, 2019
Page 13
struction zone at all. Mr. Culver and his staff worked with the contractor a fair
amount on that and some other issues, it took a lot of time to make progress, and
he considered those safety issues. Mr. Culver is talking about working a process
that will have a little more mechanism with contractors in the future so if things
like that are happening, there is a way to compel a faster action.
10. Council& City Manager Communications, Reports, and Announcements
11. Councilmember-Initiated Items for Future Meetings
City Manager Patrick Trudgeon reviewed the January 28, 2019 City Council meeting
agenda items.
Councilmember Groff asked if there is going to be a follow up discussion from the last
meeting regarding Project Home.
Mr. Trudgeon indicated staff is working on that and thought it would come back for
Council discussion at a February meeting.
Mayor Roe stated the February meetings do not have a lot of items on them but the
Council will be interviewing candidates for the applications for the Commissions. He
corrected himself and noted the application deadlines will be in February with interviews
in March and appointments in April.
Councilmember Laliberte stated the Ramsey County League of Local Government has a
new strategic plan that was presented and part of that is to have some more events. There
are two events on the calendar in the next few months. One event is February 7th at the
North St. Paul City Hall, Ramsey County is being invited to present their Legislative pri-
orities and all of the member city organizations are also invited to share their priorities.
The goal is to see where there is cross-over alignment, strength in numbers, instead of all
of the cities and school board focusing on their priorities as a solo.
Councilmember Laliberte stated on March 14th at the OVAL, the Ramsey County League
of Local Government will have their traditional event with Legislators being invited to
give a mid-session update on what items seem to be moving through the Legislature. She
thought that would be an opportune event to meet at the OVAL and bring all the member
cities to Roseville with the Legislature and have that panel discussion with the Legisla-
tors.
12. Adjourn
Etten moved, Groff seconded, adjournment of the meeting at approximately 8:25 p.m.
Roll Call
Ayes: Etten, Laliberte, Groff and Roe.
Nays: None.
