Observing Southbound Free-flow Traffic on Snelling Avenue Approaching County Road C2 <br />Existing Regional Traffic vs. Local Traffic on Snelling Avenue <br />Streetlight data was used to determine the current destinations of northbound traffic on Snelling <br />Avenue between County Roads B2 and C to understand the level of traffic destined north of the <br />study area (i.e., through regional traffic) and the resulting local traffic. Streetlight is the data <br />management tool that MnDOT utilizes to process GPS data from cell phones and navigation <br />systems that, among other things, can be utilized to track movements of people and vehicles to <br />assist in determining origin and destination of vehicles and routing. The results of this analysis are <br />shown in Figure 5. <br />
