93 There are three openings on the Parks and Recreation Commission. Deadline to apply <br />94 is Feb. 15. <br />95 The United States Department of Agriculture(USDA) has reduced the deer <br />96 population in Roseville by 10. They will continue the 2018-2019 reduction program <br />97 until all 20deertags have been filled.To date seven deer have been taken from <br />98 Reservoir Woods Park and three deer have been taken from Owasso Hills Park. It is <br />99 anticipated that at the end of the reduction program 10 deer will have been removed <br />100 from each park. <br />101 Staff discussed the potential that a percentage ofEmerald Ash Borer larvae may <br />102 freeze and die when temperatures reach -20°F. <br />103 Staff continues to move forward with legislative efforts for the Cedarholm alcohol <br />104 provision and OVAL Bonding. <br />105 <br />106 8) OTHER <br />107 Chair O’Brien noted that at the March meeting the Commission will be voting for the Chair, <br />108 Vice-Chair and Ethics Commission Representative. <br />109 <br />110 Commissioner Stoner was interested in further information regarding the tree preservation <br />111 plans in new developments; specifically the new Senior Living Community at 2650 <br />112 Lexington Ave. Commissioner Stoner agreed to find out additional details and will provide a <br />113 status update on tree preservation as an agenda item at the March 5, 2019 meeting. <br />114 <br />115 Meeting adjourned at 8:27 p.m. <br />116 <br />117 Respectfully Submitted, <br />118 Danielle Christensen, Department Assistant <br />7 <br /> <br />
