126 Acting Chair Wozniak stated he was not hearing any interest from any of the <br />127 present Commissioners. <br />128 <br />129 Mr. Culver stated he would send out an email and ask the Commissioners to <br />130 consider being a representative on the Ethics Commission. He noted he would <br />131 bring this back at the April meeting. <br />132 <br />133 5. Communication Items <br />134 Mr. Culver stated the City Council filled the vacancies on the various Commissions. <br />135 He stated Ms. Stephanie Hammer was appointed to the Public Works Commission. <br />136 He noted Ms. Hammer has been a Roseville resident for thirteen years. <br />137 <br />138 City Engineer Jesse Freihammer provided a brief review and update on projects <br />139 and maintenance activities listed in the staff report dated March 26, 2019. <br />140 <br />141 Mr. Freihammer stated the 35 W/MNPass lane will be starting shortly and will have <br />142 some major impacts within the City. MnDOT already has some closures, one is <br />143 Southbound Snelling Avenue to Southbound Hamline Avenue; that exit, and left- <br />144 hand turn lane will be closing beginning next week. <br />145 <br />146 Acting Chair Wozniak asked if that exit will stay closed. <br />147 <br />148 Mr. Freihammer stated right now it is a temporary closure but there is a possibility <br />149 it will become permanent. <br />150 <br />151 Mr. Culver stated MnDOT plans on doing a cable median project there in the next <br />152 couple of years and the City is anticipating and in favor of the median to be closed <br />153 permanently. <br />154 <br />155 Mr. Culver reviewed the 2019 overall staging of the 35W project with the <br />156 Commission. <br />157 <br />158 Member Misra asked if all of the current lanes will be available during the winter. <br />159 <br />160 Mr. Culver believed 35W will be back to three lanes in each direction over the <br />161 winter but was not 100% certain. <br />162 <br />163 Acting Chair Wozniak asked if MnDOT will be working on the north bound right <br />164 thru lane to begin with. <br />165 <br />166 Mr. Culver stated starting April 1", North bound 35W will be down to two lanes <br />167 for the rest of the summer. <br />168 <br />169 Acting Chair Wozniak asked if there will still be a way to get from 36W to 35N. <br />170 <br />Page 4 of 13 <br />
