Regular City Council Meeting
Monday, April 8, 2019
Page 7
Mr. Miller stated staff does have a good template that was created a number of
years ago so he will see if it can be refreshed and refine it a little.
Councilmember Willmus stated with respect to interest earning revenue, obvious-
ly there are not separate bank accounts for each of the funds, with respect to the
overall interest earnings, the City knows what the allocated balance is in each
fund and the overall interest for whatever the given year is. He thought that
would be a fairly simple, straightforward calculation as to what interest is allocat-
ed to what fund.
Mr. Miller stated that was right, there is a proportional test staff would need to
apply to it.
Councilmember Laliberte stated she would also appreciate the EDA detail request
and would like to see the revenue side breakdown as well because it was talked
about in the past. She did not think for this particular calendar the cash carryfor-
ward needed to be added but it should be added in future calendars so it can be
tied back after the year is done. She thought it would go on the top of the calen-
dar for 2020. She stated she is very comfortable with the information the Council
has been getting. Sometimes there is not much discussion about them but having
that information for transparency purposes and it also answers questions for her,
so she does not need to ask so many questions during the Council meeting.
Mayor Roe concurred and thought it was perhaps a good thing that the Council
did not have a lot of questions and concerns, which means the information is sew-
ing its purpose.
Groff moved, Willmus seconded, adoption of the budget calendar.
Roll Call
Ayes: Willmus, Laliberte, Groff, Etten and Roe.
Nays: None
Council Discussion
Councilmember Laliberte stated the next "touch" that is on the calendar is July,
but she wondered if the Council should be talking about what the City wants to
have for public input process prior to that.
Mayor Roe thought there should be a check in between now and July as to what
the process was last year, the timing of the various steps, and to make sure every-
thing works out.
d. Consider Approving an Amendment to the Lease Agreement with Verizon
Wireless
