She noted each essay contest <br /> winner received a cash award for their essays along with a certificate. <br /> Mayor Roe thanked all of the participants in the essay contest. <br /> Recess <br /> Mayor Roe recessed the meeting at approximately 6:26 p.m., and reconvened at approximately <br /> 6:29 p.m. <br /> 6. Receive Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, Auditor Communication <br /> Letter, and Reports on Compliance for Fiscal Year Ending December 31, <br /> 2018 <br /> Assistant Finance Director Jason Shirmacher briefly highlighted this item as de- <br /> tailed in the RCA and related attachments dated May 6, 2019. <br /> Mr. David Mol, Redpath and Company, LLC provided an overview of the Annual <br /> Reports, as well as the audit process and required disclosures and findings to the <br /> City Council. <br /> Groff moved, Laliberte seconded, to accept the 2018 Annual Financial Reports. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Etten, Willmus, Laliberte, Groff and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> b. Consideration of a Request to Issue a Ramsey County Court Citation for Un- <br /> resolved Violations at 397 Brooks Avenue <br /> Building Official Dave Englund summarized the request as detailed in the RCA of <br /> this date; and noted a bench handout incorporated into the RCA providing an ex- <br /> tract of City Council meeting minutes of May 6, 2019. <br /> Mr. Englund noted he did speak with the property owner today during a site visit. <br /> The property owner did mention he would be at the meeting, and agreed there <br /> were items that needed to be removed from the property, and was working to re- <br /> move them. Englund noted there is a dumpster onsite but still a lot of items are <br /> stored outside in the rear yard and the property owner did not give him a <br /> timeframe for removal or anticipated compliance. <br />
