City Council Update: <br />• May <br />• Adopted the Environmental Preferable Purchasing Policy <br />• Reviewed the Complete Streets Policy <br />• Approved agreement with University of Northwestern St Paul for <br />pedestrian safety improvements at the intersection Lincoln Dr and Lydia <br />Avenue <br />• Approved easement acquisition for Femwood Lift Station project and <br />Walnut Street Trail project. <br />• Held a discussion on State Fair Parking <br />• Discussed the City's Facility and Space Needs <br />• Approved final plat for Twin View First Addition <br />Approved related easements and public improvement contract <br />related to the Colder Products Company site development <br />• Approved entering into an agreement with Beehive for the City's new <br />asset management software. <br />• Approved noise variance for the County Road C Concrete Rehabilitation <br />Project. <br />For more information on any of these items please reference the City Council Agenda on <br />the City's website. <br />Major Maintenance Activities: <br />• Spring Sweep completed. <br />• Streetscape areas cleaned, mulched and irrigation on. <br />• lst mow started 5/20/19. <br />• Removed all bio logs, silt fence around Bennett, Langton Lake and new Park at County B <br />and Cleveland from fall 2018 pathway paving. <br />• Centerline painting completed by contractor <br />• All city parking lots re -striped. <br />• Re -painting message pavement marking started 5/20/19. <br />• Started repair of failed catch basins. <br />• Ongoing mill and patching of delamination streets. <br />• Asphalt patched all winter water break. <br />• Ongoing compost turning and start of Friday deliveries of compost and wood chips. <br />• Ongoing sign repair and installs. <br />• Some tree trimming/branches down from spring winds. <br />• Inspected all storm water pond lift stations and got them ready for spring <br />• Began collecting sanitary sewer flow data every other Friday <br />• Started flushing and inspecting all public hydrants <br />• Continued the 2019 Sanitary Sewer Cleaning program <br />• Repaired one broken water main <br />• Removed St. Croix motor to pump 2 and sent in for repairs <br />• Collected water samples for bacteriological testing <br />• Completed the roof replacement of the Parks garage <br />• Continued replacing meter heads and radios <br />• Continued working with engineers and contractors on the Booster Station Phase 2 project <br />• Replaced flooring in the Maintenance Facility <br />• Repaired leaking windows in the atrium at City Hall <br />
