Regular City Council Meeting
Monday, May 20, 2019
Page 11
sure that it actually happens because she was afraid if the Council lets more time go by
people will make up their mind about using the facility.
Mayor Roe stated he was not sure if the HRIEC needed more time to prepare for the
items that will be coming forward and if that is the case that is ok and not mandatory that
everything gets pushed through quickly.
Mr. Trudgeon stated it was his understanding that the HRIEC was finished with their rec-
ommendations. There are some conversations the Commission wants to have with the
Council about what else the Commission should be doing beyond that as far as some of
that direct outreach.
Ms. Rebecca Olson updated the Council on the HRIEC meeting. She noted the HRIEC is
bringing forward some recommendation to the Council at the June 3rd joint meeting and
would like some feedback on it.
Mr. Trudgeon suggested the Common Bond item will probably have a lot of people in at-
tendance and wondered if the Council would like to have that item first on the June 3rd
agenda.
Mayor Roe suggested that once that Council item is done then the meeting should recess
to be the EDA to take up the EDA item and then go back to the Council meeting.
Councilmember Willmus thought any of the land use items at the June 3rd meeting, if
there are people at the meeting for those, should go on the front end of the agenda.
Mayor Roe added that the HRIEC joint meeting would plan to go after the Common
Bond case and other land use cases.
12.
