EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br /> of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 8th day of July, 2019, <br /> at 6:00 p.m. <br /> The following members were present: Willmus, Laliberte, Groff, Etten, and Roe and the <br /> following members were absent: none <br /> Member Willmus introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION No. 11616 <br /> REJECT BIDS FOR FAIRVIEW TRUNK UNDERGROUND STORM WATER <br /> REUSE PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the construction of the Fairview <br /> Trunk Underground Storm Water Reuse Project, according to the plans and specifications <br /> thereof on file in the office of the City Manager of the City of Roseville, said bids were <br /> received on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at 1:00 p.m., opened and tabulated according to law <br /> and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> BIDDER Base Bid Alternate 1 Alternate 2 <br /> Peterson Companies Inc. $1,051,129.75 $38,610.00 $74,095.00 <br /> St Paul Utilities and Excavating $1,224,005.00 $15,000.00 $58,900.00 <br /> Northern Lines Contracting $3,586,400.00 $100,000.00 $125,000.00 <br /> Engineer's Estimate $878,702.50 $50,000.00 $50,000.00 <br /> WHEREAS, Peterson Companies Inc. was the lowest bidder at $1,051,129.75; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the construction of this project was to be funded through a combination of <br /> grants from the Metropolitan Council, Ramsey County Soil and Water Conservation <br /> Division, and Rice Creek Watershed District in the amount of$402,051.24 and the City <br /> of Roseville Stormwater Utility funds for the balance of the project; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the lowest bid was 20% above the Engineer's Estimate resulting in the <br /> City's cost participation on this portion of the project increasing from $476,651.26 to <br /> $649,078.51 <br />
