EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 8th day of July, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. The following members were present: Willmus, Laliberte, Groff, Etten, and Roe and the following members were absent: none Member Willmus introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION No. 11616 REJECT BIDS FOR FAIRVIEW TRUNK UNDERGROUND STORM WATER REUSE PROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the construction of the Fairview Trunk Underground Storm Water Reuse Project, according to the plans and specifications thereof on file in the office of the City Manager of the City of Roseville, said bids were received on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at 1:00 p.m., opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: BIDDER Base Bid Alternate 1 Alternate 2 Peterson Companies Inc. $1,051,129.75 $38,610.00 $74,095.00 St Paul Utilities and Excavating $1,224,005.00 $15,000.00 $58,900.00 Northern Lines Contracting $3,586,400.00 $100,000.00 $125,000.00 Engineer's Estimate $878,702.50 $50,000.00 $50,000.00 WHEREAS, Peterson Companies Inc. was the lowest bidder at $1,051,129.75; and, WHEREAS, the construction of this project was to be funded through a combination of grants from the Metropolitan Council, Ramsey County Soil and Water Conservation Division, and Rice Creek Watershed District in the amount of$402,051.24 and the City of Roseville Stormwater Utility funds for the balance of the project; and, WHEREAS, the lowest bid was 20% above the Engineer's Estimate resulting in the City's cost participation on this portion of the project increasing from $476,651.26 to $649,078.51
