<br />Theodore Schultz presented a petition on behalf of Louis N.Ritten~ <br />requesting the rezoning of the following described real estate from <br />Farm-residence to Industrial District: <br />liThe North 500 feet of the NW:r of the NVit of Sect,9, Town 29,Range 23" <br />He stated that the~T were unable to secmre 50% or more of the property owners <br />wi thin 500 feet and requested the Council to call for a Public Hearing on the <br />matter. Mueller moved, seconded by Carlson that petition be accepted and Public <br />hearing be had on this matter on May 2nd,1950 at 2 P.M. in the Village Hall. <br />Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(O). <br />Fred Huiras submitted a petition signed by property owners requesting the <br />state to drain the swamp on Snelling Ave,south of County Road C. Carlson moved, <br />seconded by Hammersten that a copy of the Council's resolution approving this <br />action be mailed to state Highway Dept. Roll Call:Ayes-(5),Nays-(0). <br />Mueller moved, seconded by Hammersten to adverýise for bids to purchase gravel <br />for the Village Roads and also advertise for bids for crushing this gravel. Bids <br />to be submitted and opened on May 2nd at 2 0' clock P.M. at the Village Hall, <br />Ham1ine and County Road B. Roll Cal1:Ayes-(5),Nays-(0). <br />Mueller moved, seconded by Membrez that the wages to John Docherty clerk in <br />the Municipal Liquor store, Dale and Larpenteur be increased to $200.00 per month <br />effective April Ist,1950. The wages of other emp1o¡re~s working on an hourly basis <br />be also increased accordingly using the~OO.OO per month as a basp-. This letter was a notice that the rent for the space ~sed <br />for the operation of the Municipal Liquor store will be increased to $100.00 <br />per month in the event the Village Council wishes to enter into a new lease <br />starting June lst.
