Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: July 23, 2019 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• Water Booster Station Phase 2 <br />Item No: 4 <br />o The contract for this project was awarded on July 23, 2018. <br />o Work will continue through August of 2019. <br />o Work includes: HVAC upgrades, electrical upgrades including creation of an <br />electrical room, security upgrades, replacement of two pumps and replacement of <br />some underground piping and valves. <br />o Work on this phase is approximately 80% completed. <br />• 2019 Sewer CIPP <br />o The 2019 project involved 4.8 miles of sanitary sewer pipe and one small segment <br />of storm sewer. The project is approximately 95% complete. All work is <br />scheduled to be completed by September. <br />• Fernwood Lift Station <br />o The project includes the upgrade of the lift station. The project was award to <br />Minger Construction, Inc on July 8. Work on the lift station will likely begin mid <br />to late summer of 2019. <br />• 2019 Pavement Management Project <br />o This year's pavement management project consists of approximately 8.5 miles of <br />mill and overlay. Work has started in neighborhoods off Western Avenue and <br />Dale Street. Work will continue throughout the summer. <br />o The project is about 40% completed. See Attachment B for areas completed. <br />• City Hall Parking Lot <br />o The project consists of reconstructing the parking lot between City Hall and the <br />Maintenance Facility. Work involves the realignment of the access to Civic <br />Center Drive, related storm sewer work, achieving ADA compliance, and <br />replacement of water and sewer mains under the parking lot. <br />o The project was awarded to Pember Companies and is scheduled to begin July 29. <br />The project should be completed by October 4th. See attachment C for phasing <br />and parking during the construction. <br />• At least 20 parking spots, including handicapped parking, will be available <br />to visitors to City Hall. <br />• Fairview Trunk Underground Reuse <br />o Staff opened bids on this storm water reuse project in Evergreen Park. Bids were <br />significantly higher than expected and the Council rejected bids on July 8. <br />Metropolitan Council Environmental Services updates: <br />• Avon street <br />o This project is essentially complete. All restoration will be finalized by the end of <br />July. <br />
