Two lots already exist with two new lots being
created. The project qualifies for Park Dedication. The cash amount for the two additional
lots would be $8,000 ($4,000 per additional lot) and the land amount would be .129 acres
(10% of 1.29 acres).

This parcel is located in Constellation (a) near Sandcastle Park. The Parks and Recreation
System Master Plan does not identify parcels to be acquired in this area.

The Commission discussed the location of the parcel and its proximity to Sandcastle Park.
They also discussed if the rates for the acreage and dollar amounts were equitable.

Commissioner Dahlstrom proposed recommending the cash in lieu of land in the amount of
$8,000 to the City Council. Commissioner Brown seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

5) HARRIET ALEXANDER NATURE CENTER (HANC) SIGNAGE REVIEW
Staff provided an overview of the seven different renditions of entrance signs for the Harriet
Alexander Nature Center (HANC). The signs will be located at the pathway entrance of
HANC near the parking area. All of the signs are made out of CORTEN weathering steel
with either raised or engraved lettering.

1
