Commissioner O’Brien moved to recommend to the City Council to wait a year before <br />pursuing a third party vendor to see if the legislature will pass the Cedarholm liquor bill. <br />During the next year staff could gain more history, and study the current opinions of <br />customers by completing surveys of the community and golfers. Commissioner Arneson <br />seconded. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> The Commission agreed to gather at 6:00pm prior to the joint meeting on June 17. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed the deer population and recent incidents of aggressive deer in <br />Roseville and neighboring communities. The Commission reiterated their recommendation <br />to utilize the expertise of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the <br />Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to recommend the deer reduction number as it <br />relates to available habitat and a healthy herd. <br /> <br />The Commissioners listed below volunteered to present on the following topics at the June <br />17 joint meeting with the City Council: <br /> Commissioner Stoner – Overview <br /> Commissioner Newby – Deer Reduction Program <br /> Vice-Chair Hoag – Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) and the cash reserve fund <br />o If Vice-Chair Hoag is unavailable on the evening of June 17 then <br />Commissioner O’Brien agreed to be his back-up <br /> Commissioner O’Brien – Commission Goals <br /> <br />7) STAFF REPORT <br />8.A. ONGOING TOPIC OF CITY LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES UPDATE <br />8.A.i. GUIDANT JOHN ROSE MINNESOTA OVAL CAPITAL <br />BONDING BILL <br /> Staff is in the process of putting together an application to pursue the $5 <br />million dollar bonding bill for the 2020 legislative session. A lot of <br />groundwork was done in 2019. <br />8.A.ii. CEDARHOLM LIQUOR BILL <br /> The omnibus liquor bill that included the Cedarholm liquor bill was not <br />acted on this session. <br />8.B.
