Roseville Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission Agenda Item Date: August 27, 2019 Item Description: Communication Items Public Works Project updates: • Water Booster Station Phase 2 Item No: 4 o The contract for this project was awarded on July 23, 2018. o Work will continue through September of 2019. o Work includes: HVAC upgrades, electrical upgrades including creation of an electrical room, security upgrades, replacement of two pumps and replacement of some underground piping and valves. o Work on this phase is approximately 90% completed. • 2019 Sewer CIPP o The 2019 project involved 4.8 miles of sanitary sewer pipe and one small segment of storm sewer. All work on this project is completed. • Fernwood Lift Station The project includes the upgrade of the lift station. The project was awarded to Minger Construction, Inc on July 8. Work on the lift station will likely begin mid to late summer of 2019. • 2019 Pavement Management Project o This year's pavement management project consists of approximately 8.5 miles of mill and overlay. Work is currently focused on two neighborhoods off of Lexington Avenue north of County Road B2. o The project is about 60% completed. See Attachment B for areas completed. • City Hall Parking Lot o The project consists of reconstructing the parking lot between City Hall and the Maintenance Facility. Work involves the realignment of the access to Civic Center Drive, related storm sewer work, achieving ADA compliance, and replacement of water and sewer mains under the parking lot. o The water and sanitary sewer have been replaced. The storm sewer work is ongoing with curb work and grading following shortly thereafter. o The project should be completed by October 4th. See attachment C for phasing and parking during the construction. • At least 20 parking spots, including handicapped parking, will be available to visitors to City Hall. Ramsey County Library Entrance Modification o Bids were opened on August 20. The bids came in higher than anticipated but Ramsey County, who is paying for the improvements, wants to proceed with the project. The project is scheduled to be awarded at the August 26 Council meeting. Work will be done this fall.
