EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> ROSEVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City of Roseville, County <br /> of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 9th day of September, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. <br /> The following members were present: Laliberte, Etten, Willmus, and Roe <br /> and the following were absent: Groff <br /> Council member Etten introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION No. 11633 <br /> RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF APPLICATION FOR JOB <br /> CREATION FUND ASSISTANCE THROUGH THE MINNESOTA <br /> DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND ECONOMIC <br /> DEVELOPMENT <br /> WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Board of Commissioners (the "Board") of the <br /> Roseville Economic Development Authority(the "REDA") and the City of <br /> Roseville (the "City") assist Quality Control Distribution, a distribution <br /> food business (the "Developer"), which is proposing to invest in <br /> improvements at 2501 Walnut Street for a new distribution facility on such <br /> property(the "Project"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the City, understands that the Developer, through and with the support of <br /> the REDA, intends to submit to the Minnesota Department of Employment <br /> and Economic Development ("DEED") applications for award and/or <br /> rebate from DEED's Job Creation Fund (JCF) in connection with its <br /> development of the Project. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that: <br /> 1. Based on the Developer's representation that it will locate the Project in the City <br /> and cause the creation of approximately 32 new jobs, the City finds that the Project <br /> is in the public interest because it will encourage the growth of commerce and <br /> industry, prevent the movement of current or future operations to locations <br />
