Future Agenda Review, Communications, Reports, and Announcements — Council
and City Manager
Mr. Trudgeon reviewed the future agendas for September 16, 2019 work session and
EDA meetings, September 23, 2019 council meeting, and October 7, 2019 council meet-
ing.
Councilmember Willmus explained some time ago, he was looking to bring forward an
item on the police pursuit policy and wondered where in the timeline staff is on that.
Mr. Trudgeon indicated this has not moved forward beyond the initial conversation.
Councilmember Willmus thought at some point, the Council could have a discussion to
look at a policy like the City of Burnsville has and see how the city's policy is similar or
different from that one.
Councilmember Laliberte asked if the Council could have an alternative budget without
the OVAL expenditures if the city were to get some type of bonding money when the
budget comes forward for review.
Mr. Trudgeon indicated the only hesitation is if the city gets funding, it will be spent on
the OVAL and does not affect any of the other bottom line budget totals. He appreciated
the point brought up.
Councilmember Laliberte updated the Council on the September 26, 2019 Ramsey Coun-
ty League of Local Governments program and noted representatives from Scott County
SCALE will be at the meeting to find out what has worked and not worked for them.
11. Adjourn
Etten moved, Laliberte seconded, adjournment of the meeting at approximately 8:26 p.m.
