Regular City Council Meeting
Monday, September 9, 2019
Page 15
Councilmember Laliberte agreed with Councilmember Willmus' comments about
Ms. McGehee, appreciated her research, and will bring about robust discussion.
She indicated she was very impressed with Ms. Schaffhausen as well.
Councilmember Etten indicated he was impressed with Ms. Schaffhausen and
liked her business background and agreed Ms. McGehee will bring great view-
points to the Commission as well.
Mayor Roe indicated he was supportive of both people up for appointment. He
felt Aaron Peters was an excellent candidate as well with his analytical perspec-
tive; something he looks for. He struggled with the appointment of a former
councilmember to any of the commissions so soon after a term is completed be-
cause of how that may affect the dynamics of deliberation of the group, this was a
serious concern in his viewpoint. He believed that would lead him to a no vote
but agreed with all of the council comments regarding Ms. McGehee.
Roll Call
Ayes: Laliberte, Etten, and Willmus.
Nays: Roe
8.
