PURPOSE <br />????? <br />2.2 DETAILED SCOPE OF WORK <br />The anticipated scope of work includes, generally: <br /> <br /> Attached is Roseville’s public tree inventory (ATTACHMENT L). Roseville currently <br />has 1702 public as trees. The contractor is responsible to field verify the City’s tree <br />inventory. This inventory includes all public land including city parks, boulevards, public <br />buildings (Roseville City Hall, Roseville Skating Center) and the Cedarholm Golf Course <br />and Community Building. <br /> Vendor shall propose a multi-year plan for the removal and replacement of all Public Ash <br />Trees in Roseville in accordance with the parameters below. <br /> Treat, plant and remove in accordance with the agreed upon plan. <br /> Plant trees in accordance with Roseville’s acceptable species list (ATTACHMENT M). <br /> Mitigate public safety issues and hazard trees in a timely manner during the duration of <br />the plan. <br />In addition, the proposer shall accomplish the following objectives as a part of the work of this <br />proposal package: <br /> <br /> Propose an EAB mitigation plan for Roseville’s public ash trees. The program may include a <br />combination of phased planning, removal, preemptive replacement (buddy trees), treatment <br />and replacement. <br /> <br /> The EAB mitigation plan objectives shall be: <br />a.The eventual removal of all of Roseville’s public ash trees. <br />By the programs completion, all of Roseville’s public ash trees shall be removed. <br />The city desires that this be accomplished in a multi-year, planned manner. <br />b. Replace all of City’s public ash trees. <br />At the termination of the program, that city shall have each removed ash tree <br />replaced by another, species diverse tree. To minimize the immediate impact of <br />removal, proposers shall consider pre-planting “buddy trees” in advance of <br />planned removals. <br />c. Minimize the immediate impact on the City’s tree canopy. <br />Page 8 of 11 <br />18 <br /> <br />
