Civic and Volunteer <br />I volunteer every summer at a charter school in St. Paul called <br />Activities <br />Sejong Academy. It is a Korean Immersion Language school, <br />and it's student body is largely lower income students. Many <br />Karen students go to the school, so I have gained greater <br />cultural knowledge by volunteering here. Also, I often help <br />students with their reading or math, so the volunteering has <br />helped me become better at helping others fix the problems <br />and concerns that they have. <br />Work Experience <br />I have worked at the Science Museum of Minnesota as a <br />member in their KAYSC. In this job, I worked with other teens <br />to plan events that the museum runs to teach youth about <br />science. I gained knowledge about how to work in a group <br />setting and how to plan an event so that it is realistic to <br />execute. In addition to planning, I supervised at the camp, so I <br />gained skills in how to give clear directions and help a large <br />group of people. <br />Education <br />I currently go to Irondale High School. I am in the 99th <br />percentile for my GPA. I attended Highview Middle School. I <br />went to Bel Air Elementary School and Valley View Elementary <br />School. <br />Is there additional <br />I work very hard in all that I commit to, and I stay open to <br />information you would <br />direction andknowledge from others. <br />like the City Council to <br />consider regarding your <br />application? <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />
