WHEREAS, upon City inspection on November 13, 2019 it was revealed G&G <br /> Management LLC had not completed correcting all of the required life safety issues <br /> noted in the November 4, 2019 letter; and <br /> WHEREAS, on November 12, the City held a meeting with the tenants of the Marion <br /> Street/The Brittanys Apartments and heard personal accounts of from the tenants of <br /> additional code violations; and <br /> WHEREAS, G&G Management LLC has submitted a plan and timeline for correcting all <br /> violations at Marion Street/The Brittanys Apartments, with said timeline extending to <br /> April 15, 2020, affirming the pervasive nature of noncompliance, and <br /> WHEREAS, City inspectors, working in cooperation with G& G Management LLC, <br /> have agreed to provide the requested five months to correct all noted violations, but <br /> intend to monitor progress throughout the timeline to ensure continuous efforts are being <br /> made towards compliance with implementing the submitted plan and in order for the <br /> work to be completed by April 15, 2020 as committed by G&G Management LLC; and <br /> WHEREAS, City Code Chapter 908, Rental Licensing for Multifamily Rental Properties <br /> of 5 or More Units, Section 908.07 allows for the revocation of rental license for"failure <br /> to continuously comply with any property maintenance, zoning, health,building, <br /> nuisance, or other City Codes; or failure to correct deficiencies noted in an Inspector <br /> Report or other compliance notices within the time specified" as specified in Section <br /> 908.07 (C)(3), "failure to eliminate imminent health and life safety hazards" and <br /> specified in Section 908.07 (C)(7), and"failure to operate or maintain the licensed <br /> premises in conformity with all applicable state and local laws and ordinances" as <br /> specified in Section 908.07 (C)(8); and <br /> WHEREAS,based upon the written notice of violations dated November 4, 2019 and G <br /> & G Management LLC's submission of a timeline for correction of all violations to take <br /> five months to complete, and the personal accounts of the unsanitary and unsafe living <br /> conditions from the tenants from the Marion Street/The Brittanys Apartments , City <br /> inspectors find revocation of the license and prohibiting vacant or newly vacant units to <br /> be rented to be the most reasonable action to ensure the intent with City Code Section <br /> 908.01 can be met, and <br /> WHEREAS, City Code Chapter 908.07(B) does not permit any new occupancies of <br /> vacant or thereafter vacated rental units when a multi-family rental license is revoked <br /> until such time as a valid license is restored by the City Council. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Roseville City Council, of the City of <br /> Roseville, Minnesota hereby determines the multifamily rental licenses for the following <br /> properties owned by G & G Management LLC are suspended for a period of time not to <br /> exceed one(1) year: <br /> • 175 Larpenteur Ave. (PID# 13.29.23.44.0014) <br />
