Roseville Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission Agenda Item Date: January 28, 2020 Item No: 4 Item Description: Communication Items Public Works Project updates: • Water Booster Station Phase 2 o All major work is completed other than some minor cleanup. o Staff will present Council a professional service contract for engineering design services for Phase 3 in December. Design will occur in 2020. • Femwood Lift Station The project includes the upgrade of the lift station. The project was awarded to Minger Construction, Inc. on July 8. Work on the lift station will begin in Spring of 2020. • 2020 Pavement Management Project o Final plans are being prepared. The project is scheduled for bid opening in late February. • City Hall Parking Lot o All major work is completed for the year. Final restoration and additional tree planting will take place next spring. • Ramsey County Library Entrance Modification o All major work is completed for the year. The permanent removal of the old entrance and the final paving will occur next year. • 2020 Sanitary Sewer Lining Project o Visu- Sewer was awarded the contract in November. They have started pre -cleaning and televising pipes in Roseville. Crews have started lining pipes in the Heinel Drive neighborhood on the south side of Lake Owasso. o Work on the project is about 5% completed. Work will be ongoing through mid- summer. Ramsey County: • County Road C Reconstruction: Hwy 88 to Long Lake Road Work remaining for next spring includes installing the signal system at Walnut Street, installing the trail, installing turn lanes and final turf restoration. Minnesota Department of Transportation updates: • I-35W MnPASS project- httD://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/broiects/35wnorthmnDass/index.html o Construct MnPASS Express Lanes (one lane in each direction) in the middle of existing I-35 W between County Road C in Roseville and Lexington Avenue (County Rd 17) in Blaine.
