34 <br />35 35W North Gateway Policy Advisory Committee <br />36 The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) hasrequested that an elected official be <br />37 appointed to the Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) for the 35W North Gateway study project. <br />38 The purpose of the I-35W North Gateway Study Project, which stretches from Park Ave. in <br />39 Minneapolis to County Road C in Roseville, is to develop a long-term solution for all people <br />40 who use that stretch of freeway. The study will assess the condition of bridges, pavement and <br />41 interchanges. The study will also gather input from nearby communities on their needs related to <br />42 transportation and safety. The goal of the project is to identify future construction projects along <br />43 the freeway. <br />44 <br />45 The PAC will discuss policy level decisions of adding lanes, managed lanes and access issues as <br />46 part of the project andwill help ensure the local issues and concerns are considered as part of the <br />47 project. At this time, it is not clear how long it will take to complete the study, but a member <br />48 serving on the PAC can expect to attend quarterly meetings throughout the rest of 2020.
