<br />Lifting Floor to Knee: Frequent <br />Lifting first aid bag with oxygen (up to 25 lbs.). <br />Other Physical Requirements: <br />1.Vision – Need night vision, color vision and ability to see distance and close up (correctable <br />to 20/20) for driving, identifying cars/suspects, reading reports. <br />2.Hearing – Need for communicating with public, identifying potential hazards (traffic and <br />other). <br />3. Touch – Need for performing CPR or checking vital signs. <br /> <br />ADDENDUM TO JOB DESCRIPTION FOR POLICE OFFICER: <br />Opportunities may exist from time-to-time for job enrichment within the classification of Police <br />Officer. These specialty opportunities may include: <br /> <br />Detective: Detectives are responsible for the investigation of crimes and preparation of cases for <br />criminal prosecution. <br /> <br />Canine Officer:The Canine Officer performs essentially the same duties and work the same shift <br />as regular patrol officers. The canine officer and their K-9 partners are trained in agility, obedience, <br />tracking, criminal apprehension and handler protection. <br /> <br />Family Violence Detective: The Family Violence Detective handles follow-up efforts with <br />juveniles and investigates domestic violence and violation of restraining orders, orders for protection <br />and other family violence offenses (cases). The detective will also serve as the Department's liaison <br />with other law enforcement and community service agencies, which deal with juvenile offenders and <br />family related issues. The detective serves as a resource and "resident expert" on juvenile/family <br />violence cases and procedures for other Department members. <br /> <br />Sex Crimes Detective: The Sex Crimes Detective handles follow up efforts with victims and <br />investigates criminal sexual conduct cases and sex trafficking cases related to prostitution offenses. <br />The detective will also serve as the Department's liaison with the Ramsey County Attorney’s office, <br />other law enforcement and community service agencies, which deal with sex crimes and sex <br />trafficking. The detective serves as a resource and "resident expert" on criminal sexual assault and <br />sex trafficking cases and procedures for other Department members. <br /> <br /> <br />School Liaison Officer: The School Liaison Officer will be based at the Roseville Area High <br />School during the regular school year and in accordance with the "Agreement" between the School <br />District and the City of Roseville. During that time, the assigned officer will perform the duties and <br />tasks specified in the job description, which is part of the "Agreement.” When not assigned to SLO <br />functions, the officer will assist the investigations division as directed by the Case Coordinator. <br /> <br />Impact Officer: Officers assigned to the IMPACT team are responsible for addressing quality of <br />life issues, including disorderly conduct, street narcotics, repeat nuisance properties and proactively <br />responding to crime hot spots in the city.
