By implementing these rec- ommendations, Roseville hopes to be a strong lead- er on environmental purchasing, and will work to ensure all departments and staff are aware and supportive of the policy in order to successfully fol- low the commitment to environmentally friendly goods and services. EcoL go.. EPA 6„ WaterSense PARTNERS IN ENERGY Partners in Energy is a two-year collaboration pro- gram through Xcel Energy to develop and implement the energy plan goals of the community. This pro- gram offers an opportunity to engage stakeholders, create goals and strategies, and develop a work plan to be successful. Since 2014, this program has worked to collaborate with communities to reduce utility bill expenses, promote renewable energy, drive resource conservation, and contribute to greenhouse gas re- duction goals. 7 Xce/Energy• PARTNERS IN ENERGY An Xcel Energy Community Collaboration Partners in Energy provides expertise, tools, and data to enable communities to meet their energy goals and implement their energy plans. This program assists the community in this pro- cess from start to finish. Beginning with conven- ing relevant stakeholders to develop custom goals and plans to aiding with the implementation pro- cess, tailoring strategies to meet the needs of the community. The City of Roseville is committed to expand- ing renewable energy systems to provide cleaner sources of energy, cost savings to residents and businesses, and increased energy security. Rose- ville is currently applying to the Partners in Energy program this July. If accepted into the program, Roseville will receive helpful guidance in moving the City's energy goals forward. Xcel would help the City appoint a Community Leader, develop an Energy Action Team of different stakeholders, and facilitate workshops and provide direct imple- mentation support. 6
