In the 2040 <br />Comprehensive Plan, Roseville identified the goal of expanding local renewable energy systems to <br />provide cleaner sources of energy, cost -savings to businesses and residents, and increased <br />energy security. As a participant in GreenStep Cities, the Partners in Energy program would greatly <br />assist Roseville in making and implementing as energy plan and moving Roseville forward in <br />achieving status as a Step 5 City. Partners in Energy would provide significant value to the City <br />through its hands-on assistance and resources, moving Roseville forward in its renewable energy <br />goals. <br />W hat is/are the most pressing energy -related issued) facing your community today'? <br />The most pressing energy -related issues facing Roseville are the costs related to energy use, and <br />the lack of optimal efficiency in its current energy use and consumption. Roseville residents and <br />businesses spend $55.8 million each year on electricity and natural gas, and wants to reduce this <br />cost through relevant actions and programming. <br />If you're accepted as a participant in Partners in Energy, what additional approvals within your community would you need to obtain prior to starting? <br />(examples.
