This can include initiatives to track energy use in any part of your community e.g., public buildings), a neighborhood energy challenge, <br />etc. If you have participated in Partners in Energy before, what strategies would you like to pursue with additional support from Partners in Energy, and why? <br />Additionally please explain if your community is already engaged with Xcel Energy in other ways <br />Roseville uses Xcel Energy as its main utility for electric and gas services Beyond this many residents and businesses have used Xcel Energy incentive programs to gat rebates on electricity and natural gas Residents and businesses have also <br />engaged In voluntary wind and solar programs Specifically these programs include Wndsource, Renewable'Connect Solar'Rewards, non Solar'Rewards, Solar Garden, Energy Conservation, and Load Management Additional energy programs <br />and activities are described below. <br />Solar Potential and Programs- using the University of Minnesota's solar resource map, Roseville has identified how much solar energy Is reasonably economically available for development Through the Solar'Rewards program with Xcel, Roseville <br />businesses produced 160343 kWh and residents produced 2502]] kWh City of Roseville staff and Public Works, Environment &Transpodation Commission Is studying the utilization of solar energy to help reduce demand for nonrenewable <br />sources City staff have met with solar representatives from Installers, non profits, fknancers, and the State to Zook at available options. In 2018, Roseville committed to 2 avenues for solar energy: Community Solar Garden subscriptions and rooftop <br />solar arrays of City buildings. Roseville has communed to 2 Megawatts of Solar Garden subscriptions for the past2 years. In 2019, Roseville installed solar panels on City Hall and the Fire Station, here was a total of approximately Zoo kW of solar <br />energy production on the City Campus In the fall of2019. Roseville also participates In the SolSmad program through the Metropolitan Council. and has achieved Gold designation, with a special award In Inspection. <br />Helping conned businesses and residents to additional energy savings and programs- Roseville actively encourages its residents and businesses to conserve energy and take advantage of renewable sources Samples include padnering with the <br />MN Center for Energy and Environment to offer home Improvement loan options, referring residents to Ramsey County'a Home Improvement and Suburban Weatherization Programs, collaborating with Xcel Energy to glue 200 residents free $60 <br />energy audit every year, and connecting residents with the Center for Energy and Environments Lending Center for zero percent financing on energy conservation Improvements. <br />Wmtl Energy- Roseville has been looking Into how they can expand wind energy production within the City. Currently, residents and businesses have been active In Xcel s Windsource and Renewable'Conned programs a businesses subscribed to <br />85] 236 kWh and 767 residents subscribed to 2283189 kWh through the Wndsource program.
