Roseville Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission Agenda Item Date: June 23, 2020 Item No: 6 Item Description: Communication Items Public Works Project updates: • Water Booster Station Phase 2 o All major work is completed. o Staff is beginning the design phase for Phase 3 improvements which would include some building improvements, site security and providing some additional pipe redundancy. Construction for this phase will likely be a few years out. • Fernwood Lift Station o The project includes the upgrade of the sanitary sewer lift station on Fernwood Street near Larpenteur Avenue. The project was awarded to Minger Construction, Inc. on July 8. All major work in the lift station is completed. • Galtier Lift Station o The project includes the upgrade of the sanitary sewer lift station at Galtier Street just south of South Owasso Drive. The project was awarded to Pember Construction, Inc. on June 8. Work is expected to begin later this fall. • 2020 Pavement Management Project o The City awarded the project to Bituminous Roadways on February 24. Work has been underway since May. The project is approximately 60% completed. Work is expected to be completed by the end of July. • City Hall Parking Lot o All major work on the project is completed. • Ramsey County Library Entrance Modification o All major work on the project is completed. • 2020 Sanitary Sewer Lining Project o Visu- Sewer was awarded the contract in November. o They have started pre -cleaning and televising pipes in Roseville. o Work on the project is about 90% completed. Work will be ongoing through the end of July. • 2020 Pathway Improvements o The City awarded the project to Bituminous Roadways. Work involves construction of new pathways in Tamarack Park, Langton Lake Park, and on Dale Street. Some pathways in Willow Park and Central Park will be resurfaced as part of the project. The parking lot at Victoria Street on the east side of Bennett Lake, the parking lot at Langton Lake ballfields and the two parking lots at Acorn Park will be resurfaced as part of the project. Work is expected to begin in late June and be completed by September.
