The City and the Contractor shall develop a work plan annually. The work plan shall <br />include initiatives the Contractor will undertake to improve the City's recycling program. <br />1.1 Pilot Program: The City and Contractor will partner on a Pilot Program for the <br />purposes of providing extended recycling services in the City of Roseville at <br />Central Park. This Pilot Program is only in effect from February 1, 2017 to <br />December 31, 2017. The extension of this program or revised final Parlc <br />Recycling pricing must be established by Memorandum of Understanding as <br />agreed to by both parties and approved by the Roseville City Council. <br />A. Roles and Responsibilities <br />City <br />• Members of the Public Works and Parks & Rec. Department will <br />attend initial planning meeting(s) to establish timeline, routes, <br />collection schedules, etc. and build a plan that is mutually agreed <br />upon by the City and Contractor. <br />• Provide the funding described below in the Funding section. <br />• Collect, as trash, any recycling containers in the pilot park(s) that <br />have been "contaminated" with non -recyclable items as deemed <br />by the recycling collection drivers based on a definition of <br />contamination that has been mutually agreed upon by the City <br />and Contractor. <br />• Work with Contractor to develop a recommendation for full roll- <br />out of parks recycling to all parks based on the results of this pilot. <br />Contractor <br />• Coordinate and facilitate initial planning meeting(s) to establish <br />timeline, routes, collection schedules, etc. and build a plan that is <br />mutually agreed upon by the City and Contractor. <br />• Collect recycling from containers on the trails within the <br />specifically defined park(s) that have been identified as part of <br />this pilot. <br />• Monitor park containers for levels of contamination of the <br />recycling with non -recyclable material and report any containers <br />that have reached a level of contamination that has been <br />mutually agreed upon by the City and Contractor and renders the <br />material trash that will be collected by the City. <br />• Complete all reporting requirements as defined in the Reporting <br />Requirement section below. <br />• Provide education and outreach materials to the City. Materials <br />may include flyers, brochures, articles for social media and/or <br />print, and/or other mutually agreed upon materials. <br />• Provide Revenue Share for all recycled materials collected in parks <br />as defined in the Contract. <br />2 <br />
