6.05. Publicitv, Promotion, and Education <br />The Contractor and the Recycling Coordinator shall work together in <br />the preparation and distribution of educational materials to ensure <br />accurate information and program directions. Contractor shall have <br />the written approval of the City before any material is produced or <br />distributed to the City customers. Contractor shall pay for the annual <br />design, printing and mailing of at least 9,361 copies of a curbside <br />program flyer. The Contractor will provide a PDF or other mutually <br />agreed upon electronic format version of the flyer, and 1,000 printed <br />copies of the curbside program flyer to the City. The flyer shall be <br />delivered to homes, and City, no later than January 31 of each year. <br />The Contractor will be required to provide annually a one -page <br />multi -unit dwelling complex recycling flyer to multi -unit dwelling <br />owners, landlords or other designated contact person in sufficient <br />number that one copy may be distributed to each tenant. The <br />Contractor will provide a PDF or other mutually agreed upon <br />electronic format version for the City. The Contractor will also be <br />required to provide posters and other educational material for multi- <br />unit dwelling owners, landlords or other designated contact person to <br />post in common areas. <br />The Contractor must be able to provide public education material in <br />languages other than English (e.g., Spanish, Hmong, Somali, Karen, <br />etc.). The City will specify the quantities of each set of materials <br />needed and the locations for distribution. <br />During the term of the contract the Contractor may be asked by the <br />City to make public appearances, provide information for local <br />environmental groups, or attend public events sponsored by the City. <br />Proposers shall describe their experience in providing <br />Collection services and Zero Waste services at community events <br />and what, if any, Collection opportunities could be provided at <br />Roseville community events or City -sponsored events, and whether <br />there would be a cost associated with the service. <br />In addition, proposers are encouraged to specify other public <br />education tools that they will provide (e.g., recycling education <br />materials targeted for a specific neighborhood, targeting a specific <br />material type, etc.). <br />As part of this proposal, proposers shall provide examples of <br />public education materials they have developed for other <br />municipalities. <br />27 <br />
