6.06. Citv Shall Approve Contractor's Public Education Literature <br />The Contractor shall submit a draft of any public education literature <br />for approval by the City, at least one month before printing and <br />release of any such literature. <br />6.07. Annual Work Plan <br />The City and the Contractor shall develop an Annual Work Plan. The <br />Annual Work Plan shall include initiatives the City and the <br />Contractor will undertake to improve the City's recycling program. <br />These initiatives may include (but is not limited to) expansion of <br />materials collected, voluntary expansion to businesses, effective <br />education of residents - with measurement, community involvement, <br />outreach to low participating communities, and outreach using <br />electronic communications. The Annual Work Plan shall be <br />approved by the City and the Contractor by December 15 of the <br />preceding year. (see also Sections 6.08 and 6.09) <br />6.08. Outreach to Low Participating Conununities <br />Contractor shall include in the Annual Work Plan specific <br />descriptions of engagement efforts to low participating communities. <br />Specifically the City seeks to engage immigrant communities, and <br />encourages the Contractor to provide translated materials for <br />education. Contractor's prior experience with outreach such as this <br />should be identified in the Value Added Plan. <br />6.09. Outreach Using Electronic Communications <br />Contractor shall identify in the Annual Work Plan engagement <br />efforts using electronic communications. The City seeks to engage <br />residents where they are and is looking for electronic outreach to <br />residents in addition to websites with information in text format. <br />Contractor's prior experience with outreach such as this should be <br />identified in the Value Added Plan. <br />7. MATERIALS PROCESSING AND MARKETING <br />7.01. Processing Facilities Must Be Specified <br />It is intended that all recyclables collected in the City will go to <br />recycling markets to be manufactured into recycled content goods. <br />The City prefers those markets to be in the Upper Midwest. <br />
