388, 4-22-63) <br />801.02: COMPLIANCE WITH CHAPTER REQUIRED: <br />No person shall make, constructor install any water service installation or make use of any water <br />service which is connected to the water system except in the manner provided in this Chapter. <br />(Ord. 388, 4-22-63) <br />801.03: SUPPLY FROM ONE SERVICE: <br />A. No more than one housing unit or building shall be supplied from one service connection <br />except by special permission of the Public Works Director. <br />B. A separate connection shall be required for each dwelling unit constructed on or after <br />September 19, 1979, in R-1 or R-2 Districts as defined in Tide 10 of ttus Code. A separate <br />connection shall be required in R-2 Districts for all dwelling units if there are separate <br />parcels. (Ord. 883, 7-13-81) <br />801.04: USE CONFINED TO PREMISES: <br />No person shall permit water from the water system to be used for any purpose except upon their <br />own premises unless written consent is obtained from the Public Works Director. (Ord. 288, 4- <br />22-63) <br />801.05: TAPPING OF MAINS: <br />No person except persons employed by the City shall tap any distributing main or pipe of the <br />water supply system, or insert stopcock or ferrules. (Ord. 388, 4-22-63) <br />801.06: APPLICATION FOR WATER CONNECTION: <br />A. Application: All applications for service installations and for water service shall be made to <br />the Chief Code Enforcement Officer on printed forms furnished by the City. <br />B. Information Required and Fee: All applications for service installation shall be made by the <br />owner or agent of the property to be served and shall state the size and location of service <br />connection required. The applicant shall, at the time of making application, pay to the City <br />the amount of fees or deposit required for the installation of the service connection as <br />provided in this Chapter. <br />C. Application after Installation: When service connections have been installed, application for <br />water service may be made to the Chief Code Enforcement Officer either by the owner, <br />agent, tenant or occupant of the premises. <br />D. Size of Connection and Meters: The size of water service connection and meters shall be <br />subject to approval of the Public Works Director upon review of submitted engineering <br />calculations for flow requirements. (Ord. 388, 4-22-63; amd. 1995 Code) <br />E. Meter Spacer: A meter spacer with tailpiece couplings will be furnished to the contractor or <br />plumber at the time a connection permit is issued. Meter spacers will be picked up when <br />Department of Public Works installs meter after completion of water service installation. <br />F. Notification: The plumber shall notify the Chef Code Enforcement Officer within twenty <br />four (24) hours after piping is complete and ready for meter installation giving street address <br />and permit number.
