Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: August 25, 2020 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 4 <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• 2020 Pavement Management Project <br />o The City awarded the project to Bituminous Roadways on February 24. Work has <br />been underway since May. The project is approximately 90% completed. Work <br />is expected to be completed by the end of August. <br />• 2020 Sanitary Sewer Lining Project <br />o Visu- Sewer was awarded the contract in November. <br />o All work on the project is completed. <br />• 2020 Pathway Improvements <br />o The City awarded the project to Bituminous Roadways. Work involves <br />construction of new pathways on Dale Street and paving the pathway by the <br />Legion baseball field. Some pathways in Willow Park and Central Park will be <br />resurfaced as part of the project. The parking lot at Victoria Street on the east <br />side of Bennett Lake, the parking lot at Langton Lake ballfields and the two <br />parking lots at Acorn Park will be resurfaced as part of the project. All work is <br />completed. <br />• 2020 Drainage Improvements <br />o The City awarded a contract to Frattalone Companies. Work consists of installing <br />a new iron -enhanced sand filter basin on Brenner Avenue near Millwood Street to <br />reduce flooding and provide water quality treatment for Lake Owasso. Work also <br />involves grading in Central Park and installation of a drainage structure in Acorn <br />Park. All work is completed. Additional landscaping will occur later this fall. <br />Galtier Lift Station <br />o The project includes the upgrade of the sanitary sewer lift station at Galtier Street <br />just south of South Owasso Drive. The project was awarded to Pember <br />Construction, Inc. on June 8. Work is expected to begin in the spring of 2021. <br />Ramsey County: <br />• County Road C Reconstruction: Hwy 88 to Long Lake Road <br />o All major work is completed. The city will complete the trail connection on <br />Walnut Street in September. <br />Larpenteur Avenue — 4:3 Lane Conversion Project <br />o Ramsey County will complete permanent improvements to finalize the four to <br />three lane conversion that was started last fall. The project limits are Dale Street <br />to I-35E. Work involves micro -surfacing and installing concrete medians, striping <br />and signage. The road will be open during the work. Work is under construction <br />and is expected to be completed by the end of September. <br />
